Prenatal massage is a nurturing, therapeutic treatment designed to support the physical and emotional well-being of expectant mothers. Performed in a safe and comfortable side-lying position, this massage helps relieve common pregnancy discomforts such as lower back pain, hip tension, swelling, and fatigue. For clients who are 38–40 weeks along, specific acupressure induction points may be gently incorporated—only with client consent—to naturally encourage the body to prepare for labor. Every session is customized with care to ensure comfort, relaxation, and safety for both mother and baby.

This post-operative Manual Lymphatic Drainage session, suitable for clients 2 weeks or more after surgery, uses the Vodder Method—a gentle, rhythmic technique developed to stimulate lymphatic flow and reduce swelling. The Vodder Method involves precise, light-touch movements that encourage fluid drainage, support immune function, and accelerate healing. As the body progresses in recovery, targeted work is incorporated to break down fibrosis and gently release scar tissue, improving texture, contour, and mobility of the affected areas. This session is ideal for cosmetic and orthopedic post-surgical care. Mainly for mommy makeovers, lipo, and tummy tucks.

Clinical massage sessions are customized to address chronic pain, postural imbalances, and muscular tension through advanced techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and neuromuscular work. To further support your body’s healing, I incorporate the Hooga Infrared PEMF Mat—a therapeutic mat that combines Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy, far-infrared heat, and crystal therapy using amethyst, jade, and tourmaline stones.
During your session, you’ll relax on the mat as it delivers:
PEMF therapy – Low-frequency electromagnetic pulses that help recharge your cells, enhance circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue repair.
Far-infrared heat – Deep warmth that penetrates muscles and joints, helping to relax tension, stimulate detoxification, and support overall comfort.
Crystal therapy – Heated natural crystals that release negative ions to help calm the nervous system and promote a grounding, restorative experience.
This combination amplifies the effects of massage by working on a cellular and energetic level, allowing for deeper relaxation and improved therapeutic outcomes.
Precautions
Gradual Introduction
If you're new to PEMF therapy, it's best to begin with shorter sessions and lower intensity settings. This allows your body to adjust gradually and minimizes the chance of overstimulation or discomfort.Hydration Support
PEMF therapy can enhance cellular activity and detoxification. To support this process and prevent mild dehydration, drink plenty of water before and after each session.Monitor Symptoms
For individuals managing conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, or chronic pain, start slowly and pay close attention to how your body responds. Mild temporary discomfort may occur initially as the body adapts.Metal Implants
Use caution if you have metal implants. While most people with surgical implants tolerate PEMF therapy well, certain high-intensity devices or specific metals may pose risks. Please consult your physician if you have concerns.Session Duration
For general wellness, sessions of 10–30 minutes are recommended. Longer sessions may result in temporary fatigue or overstimulation, so always listen to your body and adjust accordingly.
Contraindications
Pregnancy
PEMF therapy is not recommended during pregnancy, as its effects on fetal development have not been sufficiently studied.Epilepsy or Seizure Disorders
Individuals with epilepsy or a history of seizures should avoid PEMF therapy, as electromagnetic fields may potentially trigger seizures in sensitive individuals.Implanted Medical Devices
PEMF therapy should not be used by individuals with electronic implants such as pacemakers, insulin pumps, or cochlear implants, as the electromagnetic fields may interfere with device function.Active Bleeding or Bleeding Disorders
Because PEMF can increase circulation, it should not be used in cases of active bleeding (internal or external), recent surgery, or for those with diagnosed bleeding disorders. Individuals on blood thinners should consult their doctor before use. Ladies, even with menstrual bleeding.Active Cancer
PEMF therapy is contraindicated for individuals with active cancer, as it may stimulate cellular activity. More research is needed, but until further evidence is available, it’s best to avoid use unless under medical supervision.Children and Adolescents
PEMF therapy is generally not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed and closely monitored by a healthcare provider.
